What is Single Session?

At Family Welfare we are offering a single 1 hour counselling session for young people. The aim is to help you get as much as possible in a single session with the understanding that more help is available if needed. In the session your therapist will help you focus on the issue that you are most concerned about and encourage you to address it effectively.

Your role is to come to the session being prepared to focus on that 1 issue and work with them to see if you and they can come up with a meaningful solution that you can take forward into your own life. The main goal of the session is to help you to take the first steps towards doing this rather than solving the problem in its entirety.

Would highly recommend the service to anybody going through tough times in their lives. My counsellor has been outstanding and a credit to your team.

My counsellor was very easy to chat and interact with, made each session easier to chat through. He has helped me massively to open up and chat regarding issues.
