Christmas is a magical time, but for many local families it can also be a struggle.

Rising costs mean some parents are unable to provide even the basics, let alone a special gift for their children.

Christmas should be a time of joy, excitement, and special memories. But for many families in our community, it can also bring extra worry. With the rising cost of living, some parents are struggling to cover even the basics, meaning a gift under the tree feels out of reach.

This year, we’re coming together to change that. Our Christmas Toy Appeal is all about making sure local children wake up on Christmas morning with a present to open, and with it, the sense of love, care, and magic they deserve.

Family Welfare supports people across the Wigan Borough through counselling, advocacy, wellbeing and community-based services.

Donations help us continue delivering support to those who need it most, helping individuals and families feel heard, supported and valued.

Your support also helps fund community initiatives, volunteering opportunities and campaigns such as our annual Toy Appeal.

Donation envelopes and Gift Aid forms are also available from our main office.

Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated at no additional cost to you.

Regular monthly donations help us plan and continue delivering vital services throughout the year.

Even a small monthly contribution can make a lasting difference to individuals and families across the Wigan Borough.
